All the art on my walls is either by someone I've met or was found under unusual circumstances. The most stunning painting there, which makes everyone gasp in delight, was something I picked up at a yard sale in the states - the seller was very vague about the artist other than that 'the guy used to do a lot of psychedelics'.

Find stuff that means something to you personally and that you like looking at.

Looks like something a 12 year old could knock out in art class in a half hour.

One of my favourite pieces of artwork ever was bought by a guy for $15, done by an anonymous inmate of Chino State Prison.
