Winter Solstice Day is here. Possibly the most important day in the spiritual lives of Neolithic people.

Next noteworthy date in the astronomical calendar: perihelion on January 3.

I am about to start on that. I've been amazed this year by how Fever Tree have seemingly come from nowhere and taken over the entire tonic market. The elderflower one is really good. Who buys Schweppes now? SELL.

I will try it - though I don't generally drink any spirits that need cola - I view it more as a hangover cure.

I have finished all the Brew Dog and am now on the red.

Schweppes tonic water isn't so bad.

I used to drink Southern Ginger a lot. Which is Southern Comfort with Schweppes ginger ale.

Also, don't forget Christmas this weekend. Those Greeks are really getting behind with the times.

One of my friends from uni was from a Greek Orthodox family. She was here on her own, all of her family were still back in Greece. I distinctly remember that their church holidays were always on different dates from ours, including Easter.
