eatshit.jpg I dislike metal as much as the next sane person, but really, is there any need to make this thread, just like all the others about metal, descend into raging about metal's inherent shitness? The hide button is there for a reason. All I ask is that the metalfags confine all their failure to one thread, so I may safely ignore them at my leisure. |

I feel the age of metal is over, due to the shitness of emo music, ruining metals image, So that people see emo music (screaming about your feelings in a high pitch voice) with heavy metal, (shouting/singing about hurting people in a low voice) and think that they are the same. |

>>3794 I could'nt agree with you more. Even the old metal bands, such as maiden and sabbath say that metal is now be comming to corporate and boring. A new type of metal is needed, one that breaks the mold once more, and the bands that are truely satan orientated, can't accknowledge that the satan references in older bands where just to match the dark and heavy music, that was unheard of back in those days, and it wasn't suposed to be taken to heart. |

There really does seem to be a New Wave of Trad/Thrash Metal bands. So strange, as they're actually good, unlike the rare droplets of goodness over the last years, and there're loads of them. |

I can't say I'm too impressed with a lot of the thrash revival bands, apart from Gama Bomb. I think a big part of this is that I'm old enough to remember the glut of generic sounding cut and paste thrash bands that were about during the late 80's early 90's. A lot of the recent bands do seem a bit too tongue in cheek with lots of knowing references to other bands/songs, or they go the other way and try to hard to be "true thrash" and don't really add any other influences to their sound. |

One for the ladies. You know who I'm talking about; the ones who like Metal, but can't handle the death and violence-obsessed subject matter, and who quake at the sound of double bass and manly vocals. |
