4212 Left 4 Dead 2 update
Has anyone tried the new update yet? The new campaign is quite short but has a few fun new additions (gimmicks), including a run-in with the L4D1 survivors. More interesting than that are the new 'mutations' which are temporary game modes that get changed each week. For example 'Chainsaw Massacre'; where you go through the game with nothing but 4 chainsaws with unlimited fuel.

Yes, bought it when it came out. Better than crash course, and more fun to play on both sides.

Mutations are absolutely hilarious. Realism Versus was brutal towards the survivors, and was a thrill to play as any team. Never lasted more than 2 minutes, though. Shitty random teams :/

Played some games of this week's one (bleed out, or something like that?) Start with 100HP that decrease over time (i.e. same as pills/adrenaline/after knockdown). One of the best moments whilst playing The Passing campaign? All the team with around 1-10 HP, and finding a box full of adrenaline. Oh boy, that was a rush.

Also, Bill, nevar 4get ;_;

I didn't buy it. The first one was fun, but the biggest problem with it was relying on other human beings; there was so much rage quitting and dicking around that it was very rare that you could get a decent game.

I remember the last time I tried to play it was with the new campaign they released, I started up a lobby, and eight different people came in, saw no one else, and left. Eight different people, in and out in less than a second, and this went on for ten bloody minutes. Seriously, if they had waited somewhere between 2-10 seconds there'd be a full game and we'd be good to go.

Now I just play TF2 instead, where I'm always going to have a good game.

Realism Versus was so popular that there's currently a poll to make it a permanent mode. Alot of people think the survivor team has it too easy in versus, so it's great to be able to properly split them up now, and everyone's least favourite infected, the Jockey is now very useful.

Games have trained us for instant gratification and results. Especially nowadays.

I agree, the biggest problem with Left 4 Dead is the people who play it.

I have a sufficient stock of bros to play the game regularly, and it's fun as hell.

So, fixing your post:

The problem is that these temporary game modes are only there a week.

I want to play Chainsaw Massacre ALL THE TIME.

It looks like the popular ones will become temporary.

Hahaha. I like to think you were on the toilet or in the supermarket when you thought "Fuck! I meant permanent!" and rushed to your computer.

I actually spent all sunday at work. Posted 4231 whilst having breakfast just before rushing to work, and then came back after work to check the thread to find out that I had completely fucked up the post, so I fixed it.
