Oh, those wacky Americans, with their bottled eggs and bacon salt. Here's hoping that whoever buys that dies of sodium poisoning.

I might have known the Jews had something to do with this. Americans getting fat must be a pretty big market, actually. No wonder.

Really though, bacon salt that is vegetarian and kosher?
Why would vegetarians or Jews want their food to taste like bacon?

Kosher because there is no bacon in it. As a vegan I know that there are whole flavours of crisps I can eat (smokey bacon, chicken, roast beef) that contain no meat or meat products whatsoever. That doesn't mean I actually eat them mind....

I quite liked it, although it's only notionally related to real bacon. Not quite as much as a departure as what they call "Canadian bacon", though, which appeared to be a thin slice of some kind of very large reformed-ham-sausage; it was actually pretty tasty, but nevertheless not what one expects from the name.

My breaking point, though, was the addition of sweet pancakes and maple syrup. Fucking savages.

Could you be more explicit? What did it change, how did it taste, why was it good?

In other words, was it a nice meaty flavour, but nothing like bacon? Was it as if magical bacon was infused into the dish? Was it just... randomly nicer?

Explain!

B) Did not taste like bacon

The extra bacony flavoured bacon would taste so awesome that it might just create a singularity and end the world. But, isn't that risk worth it, to get the god of all rashers of bacon?

Dpends. Some of the cheaper bacon varieties taste of very little and not even particularly salty, so they might benefit from a dash of this stuff. On the whole, though, I agree.
