I love noodles, in fact, they may be the only form of "food" which I could eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The only noodles I can't stand are SuperNoodles, which for the same price I could buy 4 or 5 decent packets of good {Thai,Chinese,Jap,*} instant noodles, even more if I got supermarket value packets. |

noodles.jpg Mmm, noodles. Since I'm a freak, it's bean noodles for me. Not available with as many pre-packaged flavours, but still nice&noodly. Can't get them to replicate childhood chow mein memories, but for everything else, they do the job, and after a couple of noodle-free decades, it's good to be slurping again. |

I have been turned off noodles by having a succession of disgusting homemade ones. Never buying microwave noodles myself, that's for sure. |

For my money the best instant ramen are the Japanese ones. Yes, yes, "weaboo" etc - I guarantee you that any of you would agree after a bowl of them. They have decent flavour (usually a minimum of three sachets of bits and bobs) and they actually taste distinct from one another, instead of the usual "MSG + beef/chicken stock" approach that most Chinese and Korean ramen take. |

Indomie_(pack).jpg My mother "in law" was in town and we asked her to get some noodles like the last time. She asked which she should get, we said "Mama, or anything - just a selection"... She came back with a bag full of Indomie noodles; I soon realised she picked that brand because they were the only ones with English on them... |

Just for completeness: how do you prepare your noodles? Boil the noodles separately? Put the lot in a bowl and just add hot water? Boil the lot in a pot? Microwave (shudder)? |

Put the contents of the sachets into a bowl, add a little bit of water and stir. Boil the noodles for a couple of minutes, strain, and add. |

For 85p (or £1.25 at my local shop), I'd at least expect them to include oil or something else other than a sachet of generic soup base with a couple of added flavourings depending on the packet. |

Asda's 8p smart price noodles, imported from China, which claim to have 'chicken seasoning' clearly illustrate a four-legged creature which I assume is a dog on the sachet of said vile seasoning. |

As much as I hate Super Noodles, Indomie's export version of their noodles are vile. The noodle cake itself has the smell, taste and nearly the texture of Plasticine. |

Pot Noddles used to be ok (a decade ago they were actually tasty) but have gradually health-ified themselves into something disgusting. The only one I can go near these days is the Bombay Badboy, and it's more chore than treat. |

I might add that I got a CRATE of chicken and mushroom pot noodles off a friend recently. I used to like them but I went off them when they decided to remove all flavour from them. |
