3799 Lentil soup
Dear nom.

My lady is ILL... has a bronchial badness which coupled with her asthma has laid her low.

She is having issues with eating as her throat feels like it's lined with gravel. She has expressed a preference for lentil soup, so I'm just wondering of the nommers have any sure fire tasty as fuck recipes I can ease her pain with?

so, in the end I did this...

1 large carrot, 2 medium onions, 3 cloves of garlic, 2 sticks of celery all finely chopped and sweated down in butter

lots of black pepper, 2 veg stock cubes, tsp cumin, tsp coriander powder, dash of tobasco, zest of lemon, juice of half lemon, tblsp chopped ginger

added tin of chopped tomatoes, blended, added water, aded red and green lentils until cooked, chopped spinach and finely chopped coriander added 10 mins before end of cooking time.

the lady loved it and more importantly it made her feel well, though in no small amount as it was the first thing she'd eaten in 3 days.

I have maximum brownie points :)

Now that sounds lovely.

I've scored many times with soup. It's easy to make and works brilliantly at impressing the laydees.
