Not him, that poster or Simon, but he is right about Asian barbers. A few years ago I was living in India and needed my hair cut. Half way through I realised what was happening and just told him to shave it all off. I'm currently residing in a country with similar barber issues and as such have resorted to having my hair long and wearing it in a topknot.

I would advise you to go to a man's barber, rather than to some codswallop 'Tony and Guy' establishment. You'll leave with highlights and sans dignity (and fifty quid the lighter).

I suggest you go to a good barber, communicate your desires to him and let him do the rest. A place with old men sitting down is good, avoid Asian barbers unless you want to look like Dappy.

Howdy ho, chaps.

I'm in a bit of a rut as to what to do with my hair. normally I wait until it gets about this long, and then trim it with a 3 or 4, repeat ad infinitum.

But, you know, I'm tired of doing that. I have a bit of a long neck, so I always end up looking like a giraffe. I don't really know what kind of hairstyle would suit my face, though, and I don't want to ask my friends because they'll either:

a) Suggest a haircut that will make me look like a dope.
b) Suggest a 'fashionable' haircut that will make me look like a dope.

So I'm turning to you, the closest thing one has to friends on these internets. What do you suppose, gentle-lads and women-types?
