Difficult to tell. He knows there were tents, and he knows the beer came in litres, but being almost continuonsly pissed seems to have washed away the rest of the memories.

Lived in Brussels for a while and their take on Oktoberfest seemed on point - enjoying good beers in a marquee with friends. Met some interesting folks, started a couple of short-lived relationships.

The original Oktoberfest is shit. It's overpriced, your glas doesn't get properly filled, getting served takes ages and it's so crowded that a lot of times you're close to passing out even if you're sober. I don't get why foreigners want to got there so badly.
