I'm really struggling to get down the layout for an image I want to work on-
Any tips on manually drawing the golden spiral?
Perhaps some particular x/y ratio?
Expand all images.

I've always used this guide but it looks like you've already got it. http://www.ancient-symbols.com/golden_spiral.html

I always found it more useful to use the actual template on a transparency sheet to line up images, but that was for cropping photographs.

>>2343 start with a square - double it, and from there on you use the long edge as the start of the next square - then draw arcs in a outbound spiral - it's not exact, but it will get you close

it's a fibonicci sequence 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34...

It's kind of a mathematical thingy, you're going to need to be able to deal with a few numbers if you're going to try and use it.

I don't think it needs to be exact, a rough estimation of it should be enough for the composition.
