What's up with all the Mozzies lately? Normally they leave me alone but I've been bitten 4 times over the last week.

I find the best method is to leave a fan on. They're poor flyers and follow carbon dioxide so a strong fan going seems to keep them at bay. Greta-lad will soon find me though and give me a stern talking to.

I think it's like the rats appearing everywhere - there must be some reason to do with lockdown that they are appearing.

Also, it must be flying ant day soon - the fucking bastards!

Less disturbed grass that can hold standing water, less air pollution, more mosquitoes.

Fewer restaurants chucking out food, rats come looking for food near your house.

Just a theory anyway.

>>437244 Around here, it rained an absurd amount over the winter, and barely froze. It then snapped into a continuous dry spell, so there's a fair amount of warm standing water, that hasn't been refilled / overtopped, ideal mozzie territory. The lack of frost may account for some of the extra rats. It's like bloody watership down here, baby bunnies everywhere, which I suspect is related to the warm winter not killing enough of them off. They're cute, but the fuckers eat everything.
