Would you buy a bag full of wet eggs for £1?

This story has boggled my mind.

What are they served in? Are they pickled? What are you supposed to do with so many and how long would they last?

It'll be brine. I reckon that they've got shitloads of eggs because Morrisons reopened their salad bars the other week and I bet people are still a bit wary about using them.

I don't know what you'd do with that many boiled eggs. Your only real options are to put them in a curry, pork pie or scotch egg unless you want to see how many you can fit up your arsehole.

How long do they take to go off? I wouldn't mind having an egg sandwich every morning.

For a peeled boiled egg you're generally talking three to five days in the fridge, but I don't know about ones in briny water.

They'll be surplus from a sandwich factory. They come in 5 kilo buckets in such places, which presumably have seen a shortfall in demand since people are commuting less. Eggs don't keep so if you can flog them off to a supermarket for a pittance it's still better than nothing.

>>66702 That factory is probably Morrisons themselves. They often unload ingredients like this. (Possibly more in my local one than some other places, since this is food processing central around here)

I once got 2Kg of salad bar grated cheese for 13p from Morrisons.
Ended up putting most of it into plastic boxes and giving it away to people, since you can't really cut the mould off grated cheese.

You could have kept it in the freezer and it would have been fine, see pizzas for proof.

Have they actually managed to invent as many as 4 fake cheeses to go on a quattro formaggio? Anyway, grated cheese is fine in the freezer, it's the Cathedral City-esque bricks you shouldn't freeze.

If you're a pervert on lunch you could squeeze them and think they're a dead man's balls.

I had a five cheese pizza from Co-op and it turned out they'd counted mozzarella twice. Felt a bit cheated with that one.

Because then you'd have to defrost the whole thing to use any of it. Unless you fancy going at it with power tools.

You can cut the cheese beforehand and have frozen treats ready for a hot day. Serve with dip at your next party.
