It is more likely a phone filter. Most chinese phones use these beautify beautify apps by default which whiten skin, embiggen eyes, and narrow jaws. I'm a pure pro at spotting them on Tinder or Tantan or whatever.

In my, uhh...empirical research, I've noticed that a lot of East Asian (mostly Korean and the Chinese) gender benders use these face filters for their videos. They're impossible to wank to because they give off strong uncanny valley vibes. The skin is too smooth and the eyes are too robotical. The Japanese were really on to something with their whole imperfect perfection/wabi sabi thing.
