That's the thing m8, it's "safe". They would have rails all over the terrace

If it's like the system the Germans have, I'm all for it.

But I imagine Hillsborough Fams are going apeshite.

It might bring some atmosphere back to games, as opposed to everyone being an old man, woman, or a child. They do anything to distance young single men from going, we aren't the ones who fork out in the club shop are we.

League 2 fan here. The atmosphere is wank whenever we travel to these new "identikit" all seater stadia and are forced to sit. I much prefer classic terracing like Aldershot/Brentford.

It would bring some spice back to watching Premier League football and hopefully shoo the prawn sandwich brigade back into their corporate boxes.

I think all-seater stadia was an overreaction in the first place if it was genuinely just meant as a crowd safety measure with regard to Hillsborough. They were, however, probably at least partway responsible for lessening crowd violence, and therefore not an entirely bad idea.

In the current climate I think we can ditch the concept, though. I'd like to be able to stand at a ground again.

Sunderland have taped up the seats of fans who refuse to sit down during games at the Stadium of Light. Supporters of the club who persistently stand during matches have been suspended from using their season tickets. A photo circulated on Twitter shows a seat with a note on it saying: "This season card has been suspended due to persistent standing."

The club has issued a warning on its website about people who break the law on standing during a football match, and insisted it must act to protect the safety and the view of other fans. It said it has received an "increasing number of complaints", particularly from fans in the South Stand, which say the game is being spoiled by others who stand throughout the 90 minutes.

Last time I went to see Hull City I made the mistake of sitting in the West Stand; almost everyone there were either a family or old people that spent the whole match complaining (although to be fair, Peterborough did win 3-1). I could see these being the type of people who would complain about anything that has the risk of creating an atmosphere. It felt dead.
