To be completely honest, I don't even mind if we do go down. I can't stand Premiership football. Elmohamady's handball goal today and his play-acting total shock when it was disallowed made me fucking ashamed to be a City fan, but that's about as Premier League as it gets. The Championship is my favourite league in the world, the perfect balance of footballing talent and old-fashioned attitude, it manages to produce amazing matches with practically no fucking about rolling on the floor pretending your hurt or chasing referees around with tears rolling down their cheeks about minor decisions.

That and I can see Bolton's football ground from my bedroom window at the minute so it would be nice to roll out of bed at 2pm and go watch City play an away game. Along with all of the other northwest teams we'd be playing if we went down. Fuck paying upwards of £40 for an away ticket, 'n'all.

Aye, to be honest I'm of the same opinion. More games, more local away games that aren't a £150 day out, and it's as tight a league as you can get.

Not to mention relegation would be the chemotherapy to the cancer that is Allam's name change plan.

Anyone going to the Leicester away game about 3 weeks hence? Should definitely be an interesting one. As it would be my first actual stop-off in Leicester I would really like to know whether or not there are any recommended deli's or eateries other than your bog standard Wetherspoons or similar? As I understand the place to be more enriched than others, I am expecting a good variety of quality food.

Despite the FA report saying they would have to apply again, the club are trying to frame it as if the original "No" decision was put aside and there is no need to resubmit, since Allam has said he won't apply again.

And Assem Allam is a man of his word, y'know?

They did, this is true. However they would have to apply again to the FA Council if they wanted a chance of being called Hull Tigers. And Mr. Allam has said he wouldn't apply again.

I don't even know why I'm bothered by the semantics when it's so obvious how he's not the man of community and integrity he proclaims to be.

Apparently one of the FA Council members (not the particular panel, the full 92 voting members) saying the fans should have the choice biased the decision. That FA Council member is also the head of the Football Supporters Federation, so of fucking course he's going to be of that opinion.

For me, reading the report, they've absolutely slated the club for being the bunch of vindicative cunts they are. I'd hope they don't wobble and the message is "sure you've found a loophole, but there are fundamental reasons this will be rejected again".

Except he was on the particular panel that made the decision.

>That FA Council member is also the head of the Football Supporters Federation, so of fucking course he's going to be of that opinion.
Yes, out in the real world that's called a conflict of interests. The FA got its officials to work out a policy regarding how to handle a change of name. The head of the FSF disregarded this and instead argued for the interests of supporters. Noble, but wrong.

While Allam has said he won't be applying again, he doesn't need to. The decision has been set aside, so the FA needs to look at it again, and maybe select the panel a bit more carefully this time.

- Allam booting local clubs out of Airco, allegedly demanding immediate planning permission for his half-finished blueprints.
- Name change looking certain to get filed for again after Ehab's interview with Burnsy where he demands that he and his dad still believe it is the right thing for the club.
- Season ticket prices up by at least £30, and need to be paid for before the end of the season, no indication as to whether the price will go down if we get relegated.

So, on a scale of 1-10, how embarrassed are you lads to be Hull City fans at the minute?

I'm absolutely brassed off like never before. David Lloyd has nothing on the cunt.

I've been a season ticket holder since I was a sprog in '96/97. This was my last season as an 18-22 so I'm going up to full price. The deadline for renewals is before we know which division we are in and what name it will be under.

The name change shite has been filed again too, a letter of intent anyway. Apparently Allam is going to make the exact same submission again, despite the FA even being polite enough to tell him it was a crock of shit, with no business case for a change put forward at all.

And yeah, apparently the "compromise" Allam was going to take over the Airco, with putting a "bubble pitch" on the hockey pitch, involved him seeking plain illegal agreements and money that the council could not agree to. Basically he's trying to make it look like they are at fault.

That's not backbone, that's a council being cunts over planning, as always. Though I daresay on this occasion it couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke, but don't mistake petty small-mindedness for honourable resistance. This is the same sort of thing which has Swansea's swish air-conditioned bendy buses going to the university all summer instead of down the seaside.

There's already Hull United AFC (https://twitter.com/HullunitedAfc), born entirely out of the malice towards Assem Allam. Quite ironically, they played a friendly against City's reserves and won earlier this year. They've got quite a team behind them, as well, with Curtis Woodhouse doing a fair amount of bankrolling and Ian Ashbee as player-coach. They're handing out free lifetime season passes to anyone that attends their games while they're still in the Humber Premier League, as they clearly anticipate going a lot further. More power to them, I say.

The boys could do with talking to a proper graphics designer, though.

>The fans counting down to 19:04 before they start the City Til I Die gave me chills down my spine. Allam's been trying all sorts to stop that, the other game he turned the screen with the clock on off for a minute around the 19th minute and last week he had the clock made tiny so you could barely read it, which I believe is where the countdown came from.

Got no idea what this is going on here but I'm really curious, what's the relevance of 19:04 and why is Allam trying to stop it?

Just glad to see the back of the Allams, so I can finally end my boycott of home games. As much as the Allam family has done - and continues to do - for the city, their name change proposal and how they handled the feedback is a massive stain on their reputation that I don't think a lot of people will allow them to recover from.
