I think I'm more chuffed that North Ferriby have won promotion to the Blue Square North, so I can manage them on FM14 without any mods. I need to sort my priorities out.

City need a leader in the centre of the pitch and someone more clinical in front of goal. Can't think of any names, though. Elmo needs signing permanently, dunno about Stockdale.

Fuck knows why there is so much interest in Kasper Schmeichel. Just sign Mannone for £1million and have done with it.

I'm surprised a move hasn't been made for Gedo; I'm sure there was a buyout clause in the loan contract.

Seems that way, though I haven't seen the shorts.

The home shirt I've seen, although an insider has told me to take anything on the net so far with a pinch of salt as she hasn't seen the jerseys herself yet, had an amber body with three bold stripes down the front. A nice little portmanteau of City and Adidas. I liked it but looking at that away shirt I don't think it's going to be real.

I knew it'd be a 3-stripe affair, not too keen on the arms but it's probably not that noticeable in person.

I'm liking our signings, bringing in Palacios too would be great. If they all gel well with our current crop a confident 15th rather than a struggle to 17th might occur.

You lads go on any of the city boards? I use not606 myself, City Independent has some great articles but the forum's full of EDL-type ruffians.

Jozy Altidore to come back is something I keep hearing but I have no idea why. Sunderland's move for him had Sky Sports News showing that awful goal he got after his goal drought but doesn't show you him celebrating like a fucking nutjob. I liked him, he's a powerhouse, a workhorse and a minor celebrity in America so it would only help City as a franchise to have him play here but he just didn't seem to know how to score a goal.

He's been banging them in for AZ, so maybe he's sorted the mental side of his game out. I'd gladly have him back.

One of the things that really annoyed me during that season was that Jozy and Ghilas absolutely tore Bolton apart and Phil Brown never played them together up front again. Rumours were that Brown fell out with Ghilas over Ramadan.

One of the few games I attended that season, Ghilas' first touch was great, and he was undoubtedly a great, nippy asset that we could've pinged off of Geo.

If that's true about Brown, Ghilas and Ramadan, then he's quite a tosser.

I was at job club at the time, and word was that Jozy was absolutely fantastic in training, really capable of all kinds of work up front, but because Ghilas wasn't about, he just apparently found himself adrift half of the time.

Let's not be surprised that Brown is a massive tosser, eh? Were any of you lads there for the Man City game where he gave the team talk on the pitch? He'd do owt to get on the telly, as far as I could tell from him it was always his Premiership campaign and never the team's.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he fell out with Kamel Ghilas over Ramadan, though, he was a petty man.

>>4897
That's a shame. It was his knee wot dun it.

Anyone got any clues who else we might be going for? @origlambman on Twitter seems to be one of the best sources for City rumours. He's managed to remain anonymous in spite of confirming in the past that he works inside the club which is quite a surprise because normally the scootery types stick out a mile off.

He'll probably go on and score 20+ goals next season. Then again, I'd rather not have a repeat of the Bullard situation.

Word has it that a number of the top players in the youth team are moving clubs because of the poor facilities. Harry Cardwell has already gone to Reading and don't be surprised if you hear that others leave, too.

I'm tempted to order a North Ferriby United shirt but the sponsor ruins it, which is a shame as it's the nicest looking kit they've had in about 5 years or so. I might see if they slash the prices around April.

>However, Allam is unrepentant and says he will pull his investment out of Hull "within 24 hours" if his plans are blocked. Christ, what a sham that poll is.

Worst thing is the media misconstruing it, never mind a 43% "majority", or only 17% of the total potential voters actually backing Allam.

Roll on the FA Council vote on wednesday, they've already acknowledged this vote being less transparent than the one in the Crimea a fortnight ago.

I am disappointed at the turnout, even if 400 "no" votes were rejected and the voters barely notified of this failure.

Arsenal shouldn't have to go to penalties at all. You can tell the fans are against Wenger, he was straight down the tunnel at the end. I used to think Wenger was great but he really needs to go now, he's not even planning on getting any new players in over summer which is ridiculous.

Got my corned beef and HP sauce sandwiches wrapped up. No booze on Tiger Travel like.

What did they do to deserve it? They did fuck all, really.

I got free tickets to see the game today. I'm not much of a football fan but will it be worth going anyway?

I can't speak to the event itself, but don't think about whether anyone you know would rather go instead because the chances are they won't be able to use your ticket.

Finally back in Hull, what a ding-dong of a day. Shattered in every sense of the word.

>If the FA Cup winners finish in the top four, their UEFA Europa League place goes to the runners-up. However, if the FA Cup winners finish outside the top four, their UEFA Europa League place goes to the next-highest ranked team in the Barclays Premier League (nominally the seventh-placed team).

Thank you Crystal Pulis. Not that it's needed for Arsenal to finish fourth, mind.

You're welcome. I'm buzzing right now. If you put Pulis in front of me now, he'd probably end up getting a restraining order on me...

feels good to be a Palace fan

Pulis should win manager of the season. I'd happily have him at England when Woy gets the boot.

Not many fans would want a Welshman as the England manager.

Maybe one day, he'll manage Newport County.
