Why can't we have militias or just private training like this in England? It is annoying because to do these things I would have to go America or eastern Europe.
You can have private training to do similar stuff to this in the UK, if you want to become a certified bodyguard. It's expensive though. After you get qualified, you don't even have to be one. Just keep your certs up to date and redo the training now and again and call it a hobby.
Also, If you're keen, why not just join the TA? It's the same thing.
They pay you for it and your employer can't sack you for going and has to keep your job open for you.
You get to play Soldier, and have a normal life. It says "upto" 12 months. Where is the issue, m8? Are you telling us your local shooting range, recreational shooting centre, etc, isn't good enough for you while simultaneously saying you think the TA is too scary?
I make this assumption based on the fact you seem to be well versed on what can and can't be done in the UK, from your OP, so therefore discounted clay pigeon shooting and war games before posting this thread. Also, your obvious trepidation at the thought of deployment. You do realise that if we had militias in the UK and we got invaded, you'd have to fight then as well?
>>19879 I'm all for a defensive war. Patriotic and fighting to free your country from cunts invading is something I would relish. In fact, I really want Russia to invade Poland and other NATO member states. But... Shooting brown people half way across the world or being deployed to some Ebola infested hellhole to "save African lives" is not something I want to leave Blighty for.
>>19880 At the peak of deployment in Afghanistan around 5% of the military was out there. It's unlikely you'd ever get called up, and Army Reserve is very much a support role.
Once you post it, it's no longer yours; it belongs to the Zeitgeist of the site. Such is the nature of imageboards.
You posted this in /v/, when the topic of national militias is more of a political one and you're moaning people aren't taking your thread seriously after you've already exhausted any and all avenues of discussion about this topic in the first 10 posts and dismissed them offhandedly.
No. Have a word with yourself. Simon is a state of mind.
>>19899 Offhandedly? Mate I don't want to get deployed and I don't want to shoot clay pigeons. So far, the only thing I can do is probably join the TA and quit after my training before I get deployed. It's a fucking hassle.
After a friend and I had gone paint balling for his 16th birthday, we talked about getting into airsoft, but the prices for weapons were just insane. It's probably for the best as I would only have wound up punching a guy for dressing like a Nazi anyway.
