I did an experiment with a very trusted friend. This was to contact the dead, to see if there is a beyond. The research between ourselves, based on our experiences and observations, came to the conclusion that consciousness does in fact continue beyond mortality.

We both sat in utter pitch darkness and filmed our investigations using night vis. We only understood the context by replaying the recorded sessions. Part of our research was to eliminate this possibility of your suggestion. The Ouija board was used as a tool, amongst others.

Are you familiar with the tale of the Ouija Board and its inception?

I'll save you the trouble of googling it. It doesn't help you speak to dead people.

I used to go out with a parapsychologist and he was adamant that the Ouija Board is a load of old tosh, and this is a man who used to leave dictaphones around my house because he was convinced there was a "presence".

This bloke was annoyed by his son, probably grounded by his arrogance, wanted to know where Fairfax was. We told him he was dead and was having none of it. Through notes we felt he'd been betrayed. Weird archaic spellings came through on the ouija, had to look most of it up to make sense. I guess people spoke / spelled differently 350 years ago.

Would it be possible to use these spirits for personal gain? I'm sure one of them must know the location of some treasure and if not you can wind them up good and proper (after taking out some insurance on the house for the perfect crime).

Is there any way we can rattle the spirit worlds cage until we can get some good and proper answers? Perhaps desecrating graves or setting up some kind of youtube auto-play everytime they give a message.

My girlfriend made a ghost mad with one of these and later that night she had a terrifying experience, she was going to the bathroom and felt like someone was chasing her so she ran in and then she had to fight to close the door and the handle rattled for almost 30 seconds really violently, as if someone was trying to force their way in.

She came back to me thinking I'd pulled a practical joke on her and then started weeping with fear when I didn't know what she was on about.

Can one of you ghost botherers explain to me how ghosts can interact with the physical world? For a ghost to apply a force to something, it needs mass, and as far as I'm aware ghosts don't have mass. This also brings up issues with conservation of energy.

Also, why don't they just speak up and give straight answers? Oh wait, that doesn't sound spooky enough.
