5484 Aliens Exist?
Are any of you Boo lads following the UAP revelations from David Grusch?

A couple days ago he and others had a hearing in Congress about it

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NE9IhP5mZw

Some of the allegations made are wild including that the Gov't has recovered crashed craft containing 'non-human biologics'

Also it is alleged in this hearing that there is a group of people composed of govt and non-govt individuals who receive tax funding for this work with zero oversight. So even if the UAP aspect of this is nonsense there is still some way shady stuff going on regarding government spending on spooky secret projects.

Here is the interview that Grusch refers to in the hearing:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_9gTDXF9Vc

A lot of this reminds me of the Mirage Men (2013) documentary about a lad that worked for the CIA and planted fake information in the UFO community to discredit them as UFO people were reporting the timing and locations of US Military Black Project tests and wanted to throw foreign intelligence off the scent

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsWZQyOxaIc

I was also reading some people suggesting that the UAP stuff was just hostile drones from foreign nationals, but the Military has explicitly denied this.

The problem with exposing conspiracies like this is that you need better evidence than just some guy saying he did it. He needs to collect some proof and steal it from his workplace; otherwise he is just someone who believes what we believe but also works there. If Area 51 hired a man obsessed with aliens, and he went to work there every day to secretly gather evidence of aliens, and in the end he comes out and blows the whistle and all he can offer is his own promises that aliens are totes real bro, then that harms the argument if anything. It wouldn’t be hard to nick a few documents.

I agree wholeheartedly. Moreover the past few years have completely hollowed out any enjoyment I used to get out of conspiracy thought, now that it's all weaponised nonsense by people far more mentally ill than the UFO researcher I spent forty minutes on the phone with in 2016, being told that Bob Lazar is a lying bastard and that most UFOs are probably living plasma. Give it a year or two and ARE NIGE will be demanding that the "woke" military tell us the truth about Rendlesham.

Also I will NEVER call them "UAPs". I don't care if you take me down into the guts of Area 51 and show me one the aliens themselves embossed those very letters onto, I'm still saying UFO.

While I do find it unlikely that UFOs are "real", in the sense that it's aliens from another solar system coming to spy on us or secretly influence our society, I do nevertheless find the whole topic fascinating.

On some level sure, I am a Fox Mulder type "I wanna believe" case who will be screaming HA! I TOLD YOU ALL! when the discs start hovering over world capitals. Just like how ten years ago everyone said I was paranoid when I said the government and corporations are spying on your through social media and the like, but now we all take it completely for granted. But I digress.

The real interesting thing about it all is that clearly, something is going on, and if it's not little green men- Then what is it? We know the triangle UFO sightings in Roswell all those years ago were likely to be tests of prototype stealth bombers, we know the type of shit the CIA got up to with MKULTRA and suchlike, and we'd be idiots not to think they're still up to that kind of stuff now. So what are they doing, and how does it all fit together? What kind of elaborate 4D chess game are they playing trying to keep this low-level sort of semi-belief in the UFO phenomena alive in the general populace?

Because really that's what it is when you think about it- It's a bit like religion. Most people don't really give it much thought, some people are super into it, but when you actually stop to think about it more people are on the "I suppose it's possible, yeah" level rather than being outright UFO atheists. It's just sort of always there in the cultural background at just enough of a level that people would readily accept the idea if the president came out on TV tomorrow and went "Look, it's all real, here's my mate Zorp from Skariidos V who's going to help us discover cold fusion."

I don't want to be that guy, but this stuff came out right when interest rates increased globally, inflation jumped everywhere (that I know of) and corporate profits and dividends jumped up massively. Given the profit margins seen, this has moved from "it's just how it is", to "find the rich, so we can eat them". I'll go moaning back to /A/ soon, but this toploaded profiteering is going to give, and no amount of "licensing" is going to make for a pretty picture.

I see them all the time. They look like planes mostly but I have no way to verify that.

When I was a child, I took a photo out of the window of a plane and there was some dust on the lens, and when the picture got developed it looked exactly like a UFO. Maybe it was; I never saw any dust. But I didn't see anything when I took the picture.
