https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OzFX0EkV2TI Is it actually possible, through meditation, to experience what this video communicates?
For a period I practiced meditation in a specific posture, then sometimes during sleep I'd have a very deep and clear dream - upon waking I'd find myself in this meditation posture. One time in particular a dream developed into an almighty hum like this video - I akow with a startle of fear as though I wasn't ready to delve deep into whatever it might have been. In hindsight I think I was hearing the bin men at work or maybe a neighbours hoover, but the experience has always stuck with me.
These days during any meditation I try (albiet shallow and of limited duration) I always get stuck at the 'let it pass' stage of not holding onto thoughts and sensations .. I wonder if there really is anything beyond that or if there're specific techniques to explore different levels or areas of meditation.
A friend of mine said never to meditate on the question "What's behind the door" because it'll fuck you up, but I think noth the question and the supposed consequence are bullshit.
