5522 British cults and the theories about them?
I've never really seen it written down too much as it's mainly in America where they get all the attention but what cults in the UK do you know of and what are the conspiracies sorrounding them? Personally my faivourites are the small town ones that only some locals know about.

In my town in Derbyshire in the 1990's, there were people in the woods that dressed in black cloaks and carried actual torches. The fires could be seen from outside the woods. These people were linked to possibly killing a few sheep that were found dead in farmers fields but they haven't been seen since the 2000's.

I once learned there is a whole cult living somewhere in Cornwall called the Cult of Jericho. Something to do with a dog king. I also read they had slightly Amish traits about them, but who knows.

I always found it kind of fucking mad that there are 2 masonic lodges in the houses of parliment, and everyone is just cool with this. Members of a cult whose punishment for revealing their "secrets" is death. Yep sounds perfectly reasonable, lets have two lodges in our highest seats of power.

I guess also just find it odd in general how deeply entrenched masonic and also other occult societies are within our political and wider elite establishments are and how no one bats an eye. Sure it's just a bunch of old blokes who like to get together and share a drink tho hey, nothing to it.

I'm not sure about more local level cults/secret societies but would be interested to hear about them from any /boo/ lads.

There was that weird Maoist micro-cult in Hammersmith (I think), but it's hard to tell where the cult begins and the hyper-abusive household starts with that case.

Masons are repugnant to me not because I think they're draining the vital essence from children or hosting Witches' Sabbaths, but because they are corruption houses. It's not as overt, because it doesn't need to be, but they serve the same function as the Sicilian Mafia or the South African politician who employs half his family, but, you know, with a veneer of "respectibility".

I once found a tarpaulin lean-to at the edge of a tiny woodland beside an A road, one time. The tarp was decorated with runic symbols and there were a few minor wooden artifacts lying around.
I also found some weird angel sigil thing in a prominent park, another time.

Both instances were so poorly hidden, even public, that it's safe to assume it's just kids or immature people exploring things. Which in itself is really fucking funny because I know a couple of people who would absolutely shit themselves for finding things like this.

But yeah, I'd love to hear more about British cults but I ain't gonna do the research. I think there was something in the news recently about an old, long disolved cult.
