I've noticed that my joints seem to be more achy and creaky, particularly my knees and left elbow.

Would pilates be a good idea and are there any alternatives for stiffness?

Check out the five tibetan rites. Easy to pick up, do them daily and you'll feel a lot better.

Also look into natural anti-inflammatory agents like castor oil (for external use on joints) and black seed oil (nigella sativa, can be used externally and internally).
