Are these blood pressure readings ok for a 33 year old? Doctor ordered I take some readings at home for some reason. Ive been under a bit of stress recently. Dr Google seems a bit undecided on whether normal or not.

>>6338 Range of 40-50 is okay, though diastolic significantly above 80 is cause for concern. Not quite into "urgent medical attention" territory, but worth booking a routine appointment with a GP. By itself, it's not likely to kill you in the week or two you'll be waiting.
Somewhat high, but not high enough in isolation that a doctor is likely to tell you anything other than eat better, exercise more and download some mindfulness app.
>>6341 What? Why would you do that - falsify results to be treated for a condition you do not have? What possible reason could you have for wanting a prescription for blood thinners? Are you going to feed them to your neighbours dog? Or maybe your inheritance holding grandparents? Or do you just want to fucking die horribly?
You're that hypochondriac from the other threads, aren't you?
>>6341 No. If your problems are restricted to stress and moderately high blood pressure then a doctor taking your concerns seriously would likely advise you that lifestyle adjustments are the most appropriate measure to improve your health. Walking out of a doctor's appointment without a prescription for a new pill or a referral to a consultant is not an indication that you aren't being taken seriously. Tell your GP what's wrong and trust that a decade or so of post secondary education has taught them something about judging how seriously to take your complaints. If you're unhappy with the outcome, seek a second opinion. Don't lie in the hope that that will lead to a better outcome, that's just a waste of everybody's time and puts your (actual non-exaggerated, non-invented) health at risk.
>>6342 >What possible reason could you have for wanting a prescription for blood thinners?
ACE inhibitors or calcium channel blockers are first line treatments, nobody gets prescribed blood thinners for hypertension.
OP here, this poster >>6342 was not me. I was just mildly concerned about my readings, but I don't understand why any one would want to artificially increase them.
I've been drinking some Hibiscus tea and getting to the gym, drinking more water, and I'm now getting roughly 120/78 in the morning before food, and about 122-125/82-6 in the evening, around 1/2hours after food. Is that alright? Seems to be a quite good improvement.
