I doubt that any of you are using Microsoft Edge (which sounds like a gay porno) but just on the off chance...

http://betanews.com/2016/01/30/stop-using-microsoft-edges-inprivate-mode-if-you-value-your-privacy/

> investigations of the browser have resulted in revealing that websites visited in private mode are also stored in the browser’s WebCache file.

>NOTE: The Container_n table stores web history. There a field named 'Flag' will be available. A website visited in the private mode will have a flag value as '8'.

I tried it out for a bit. It's certainly better than IE was back in the day, and it's probably quicker than chrome, but the lack of add-on support and not being able to right click on highlighted text and images to search for them killed it for me.

Good to know that MS are still capable of the most astoundingly basic fuckups though.

On a tangential note, Cortana stores a lot of shit too: http://bsmuir.kinja.com/windows-10-cortana-notification-center-forenics-1724511442

The only time I used Edge, I had a feeling that it was designed for tablets primarily. Especially when I got into its settings page. Anyway, all I needed it for is to download Firefox.

I'll give it its due, Edge loaded slightly faster than Firefox on my machine when it had its very brief Win 10 phase. For the majority of users who don't even know what an 'extension' is it's probably fine. This is a bit embarrassing for them though.

I suppose once you've seen the HTTP world through the myopic, purblind eyes of the bug-ridden Presto engine nothing else will quite do.

Vivaldi's working nicely for me here. Needs finishing, but the browser is good. (Opera user since it was pay-to-drop-ads. Fuck me, they were ahead of their time in so many ways).
