Images don't load and appear to be blocked (see pic). The problem is unique to this browser (seamonkey) images work in other browsers. I've started in safe mode (with no addons) and images still don't display. This happened suddenly after restart. The domain twimg.com domain does not load, the requests ping timeout in cmd. So I added the following to HOSTS but it didn't make any difference. 199.16.156.198 twitter.com www.twitter.com 192.229.173.16 abs.twimg.com pbs.twimg.com 104.244.43.39 ton.twimg.com 72.21.91.70 o.twimg.com 199.16.156.11 t.co I've tried a bunch of stuff from this too http://kb.mozillazine.org/Images_or_animations_do_not_load but it didn't help either
>>25649 WTF. Why on earth are you hard coding their IP addresses? On a site that size it will prove less reliable.
>>25651 I don't know, some web designer told me to try it.
>>25652 >some web designer told me to try it That would explain a lot.
>>25652 Tell that web designer they're an arse.
>>25649 >The problem is unique to this browser (seamonkey) images work in other browsers. What does this tell you?
>>25656 That I should start pinging host names from the OS level and reconfigure my network stack?
>>25657 Rip out all your Cat5 and replace it with Cat7 - the images are leaking out of the cable.
>>25658 I'm on wifi. Do you think soundproofing would work? Or is the wavelength such that heat insulation would be better?
>>25659 Put tinfoil on all your walls to block out interference. Make sure to cover your windows.
>>25652 You're having a laugh right?
Maybe you could try directly accessing the twitter API with cURL requests before converting the images to ASCII art. Just definitely don't try using a sensible modern browser instead of what looks like fucking Netscape.
OP I sincerely hope you break your own computer.
