I've seen supposedly earnest political commentators pretend that he actually wanted the child to suck his tongue and floated the idea this might have been for sexual gratification. Why is it not sufficient to say he overstepped a boundary in potentially making the child uncomfortable and leave it there?
>>71853 Some talking head they had on Radio 2 speculated that it was probably cognitive decline because you lose your inhibitions when you're demented. It was suggested that he should be tested to see if he's gone senile, but if he's still compos mentis they should throw the bloody book at him.
For the record, most Buddhists think that Tibetan Buddhists are total fucking nutters. We've been saying for years that the Dalai Lama was a wrong'un, but nobody wanted to hear it.
The white western middle class thought that the dalai lama was marvellous. He got a Nobel peace prize, the highest honour that the white western middle class can bestow. Aung San Suu Kyi got one too, and we all know how that one turned out.
>>71857 Does this mean that all old people are carpet-baggers? Is that why so many of them swap their partner in for a younger one?
>>71863 >IF THERE WAS A LESSER AUTHORITY ON BUDDHISM, I'VE YET TO MEET THEM.
Well you could go meet one of the priesthood in China who have pass the application form with their state-atheist government before they can reincarnate.
>>71853 This is exactly my take. Everything these days is paedogeddon. The Lama, while part of an institution that ostensibly still practiced slavery pre-communism, has always been a piss-taker - why is it so hard to believe he was trying to be playful here in a really inappropriate way without also suggesting he is some kind of predator?
Let me put it this way, if your granddad did the same thing, would you just say 'hey, grampa, don't do that, look he's crying now' or would you actually ring the police and say there's a sex offender in your house?
