This is a long shot, but I've been absolutely racking by brain over a big job application due on Monday.
It's a big job that I believe I'm well-suited for, but it's a rather open, non-specific job description ("willingness to learn", "junior staff will be supervised by senior staff", etc.).
I've been contacting my thesis supervisor, old colleagues, friends, everyone for feedback on my CV and cover letter, but everyone is busy and only a few have offered opinions.
It occurs to me now I should have got in touch with the people posting the job ad, but I think it's too late for me now.
Are there any last minute review services by HR wonks I can use? I was considering handing over an obscene amount of money for a single session with someone who called themselves a "career coach", but decided against it.

It's not that I'm struggling, it's just a high-end application (40k per year academic/scientific job) that I'd really like to get as good as humanly possible.
