I feel like this thread is the equvilent of going to visit your grandparents and the lighting circit goes and they demand you to deal with it but when you get there it isn't circuit breaker switches it's just exposed fuse wires and whilst you are trying to work out the fuck is going on they treat like an idiot for not knowing they keep the fuse wire behind the hover in a old cigar tin in the cupboard under the stairs and then treat it like it should be common knowledge that they always keep the wire cutters in the tool box in the shed, only they aren't in there and when you have to ask them where they are they spit venom and dismiss you restating the same incorrect information and send you to look again and eventually you get your grandad to get off his arse he looks in the tool box then around the shed and then produces them from a completely different set of draws and says 'was that so hard', at that point they decry the ignorance of the youth of today and he take over doing the whole thing, complaining how he now have to 'risk breaking their neck' by standing on a woberly chair to reach the fuse box even though none of this was ever your fault but they blame you for having the sheer gaul to turn on the light in the first place. And you wonder why you even bother visiting them, and realise you only put up with it because you hope they'll be dead soon and you think you'll get a bigger cut of the inheritance if you bother to show your face once a year. |

Is GURPS really any good though? I played a bit of Discworld GURPS back in the day and it didn't wow me. I feel like it'd be easier to design my own system than bother learning a new one, tbh... |
