There was an article in the economist recently on "the curse of Glasgow", no one can figure out why people in Glasgow die earlier than anywhere else, even in places with similar or worse problems and combinations thereof. It just seems that Allah hates Glaswegians.

This isn't actually life expectancy though, is it? Surely it's 'average age at which people die', since people born today can expect to live older than 79ish in general...
