tl;dr: after equipping my tinfoil hat... simon woolston committed the same crime as legacy. he died on paper by submitting another's body who got ID'd by a contact of his, he fled the country to thailand after taking out mountains of loans and receiving money from fraudulent pre-paid funerals. his company was wrapped up, sold to another contact of his in a matter of days and the scam continued until they were investigated last month.
simon woolston was a well known con man. he conned many out of a lot. whether it be through loans from friends, funnelling money through pride events, fudging the books in vauxhall, star and garter, king billy or through a multitude of his other companies owned by the 10 or so of his identities

he had a habit of hiring less-than-scrupulous people, friends, or others from the lgbt community, rebecca mchugh who was banned from ever owning animals for murdering them. joshua oxley brainchild for putting heavenly billboard outside hri hospital. oh. and dana twidale..
dana twidale is a con artist. she was, however, someone simon could trust. she was his confidante, a fellow con artist, honor amongst thieves. nigel was hesitant about coughing up a ridiculous sum for his new partner's mum's funeral so, in a desperate attempt to con nigel wainwright out of more money, she came up with a lie. this lie was a very strange one to come up with on the spot. it was that her late mother lay "rotting in the parlour".

woolston did not fire her because of her scam artistry. he fired her because of that particular statement
>"I told Dana that I couldn’t be having anything to do with her," Mr Woolston said. "She told this chap Nigel that her mum was in with us and that she had been dead for four months rotting and that she couldn’t afford to pay for her funeral.

her lie, however, was based in truth
simon knew he had to distance himself from her. he knew if he did not publicly denounce her, investigations would turn to him.
moving on a year later, he takes out a loan and leases the hessle road building which undergoes a "most unusual change of use". this enables him to scale his operation up.
and several company restructurings eventually positioning simon at the top of the chain on Sept 10 2021... and owing £88,000 to Hull City Council and over £33,000 to a coffin and casket manufacturer.
a month later.. simon died of covid on Oct 11 2021.
casting your mind back, during covid there were stringent rules on how deaths were recorded. traditional viewings and funerals were restricted, ids of bodies were done with minimal exposure and minimal presence and oftentimes in the absence of family.
weeks before his death he purchased a large house in the north of thailand, majority owned by his thai boyfriend - as is the law.
no GRO index meaning he would still have a valid passport.
simon is not dead. he is living in the northern reaches of thailand.
/anecdotally/, of course, if you pay particular attention to his medical record which describes who was the sole identifier of his body. it becomes trivial to understand why, then, the investigation into his fraud was terminated after his death. it is understandable then why the line of investigation linking legacy and heavenly were related was also terminated. it was, so I understand, a female senior police officer who was one of his close friends - I can not confirm this any more I need a bent medical professional in hull who can do this
there is a connection between simon woolston and rob bush, this is potentially bigger than just a few people not being burned properly

There is however a probate which was entered on 18 Aug 2023, 2 years after his death, but I am too poor to buy it for 11 quid.
I would like to know is how legacy began rebranding on 14th Dec 2021, when the company had ceased trading and assets were frozen on 26th October 2021. this seems like a very swift process.
his death happened a month and a day after he was made director of heavenly services 10 Sept 2021
this also coincides when his domain name renewed - although this is a bit farfetched to think this is connected - but it would give him access to his emails for another 3 years with little suspicion
