>Woman who smuggled £160,000 of cannabis blames 'societal pressure to look glam'
>One of the two Blackburn women who were arrested in Birmingham after more than 35kg of cannabis was found in their luggage has told her side of the story on This Morning – but viewers were less than impressed.
That is, This Morning breakfst TV show broadcast to (presumably) millions of Britons. Attempted to smuggle 35kg in hand luggage on an airline.
How's the woman even available for this interview? How much were they paid?
What a way to glamourise crime. Morning TV slot before the nation. Apparently audience participation was very negetive, perhaps that was the intention - to publicly shame? Or may it's just comercial ragebaiting. I imagine the Youtube hits are up.
I'll be honest I've read little but the headline. Maybe the other woman was the instigator, is currently locked up and not invited to the show.
This is absolutely insane. Was this her idea or did some drug baron suggest it? If the former, that makes sense, if the latter, the only explanation is he wanted to get rid of her, because even the least competent drug smugglers know what shows up on a hand luggage scan. They can see inside your body now for fucks sake.
It's fairly common for smuggling gangs to use decoy shipments to distract or overwhelm customs officers. Give them an easy win in the morning, so they're too busy filling out paperwork and patting themselves on the back to pay close attention to what's coming through in the afternoon.
