Ooh, a latte, how austentatious! A coffee! With milk in, no less! What will they think of next?

Are we really doing "champagne socialists" for people who don't drink now? Are you going to have a pop at me for eating pasta and wearing deoderant, too? What level of destitution must I find myself in before it's ethically permissable for me to point out that it's racist to make posts that amount to "all black people are the same to me"? Also nonsensical that you accuse me of labeling people as Hitlerites, when two posts above mine are calling Badenoch a "fascist" and an "authoritarian". Clearly Hitleritism is catching.

I thought a "shitlib" was a dig against centrists? I called him a centrist and he called me a "latte drinking lefty". Apparently I did it to sound smart, but I actually did it because I think he's an arsehol. Assuming those posts are all from the same chap, of course.

If anyone needs a full accounting of my coffee habits, it's mostly black at home, always black at work or if I'm eating and I've had takeaway coffee so few times I can recall each instance. I think had a latte from a Costa machine once and the hot milk threw my stomach off-kilter for the next hour-plus. Am I free to leave the lifestyle gulag now? Or are there other tedious metrics by which my true political affiliations can be witch-trialed out of me? Maybe owning a wireless mouse makes me a closet libertarian? Or does wearing Mizuno running shoes to work reveal my true identity as an unreformed neo-con?

Clearly you're destitute in terms of reading skills, because all the posts in this thread (excluding the first one) seem to amount to "wow Badenoch is ugly" (which I, as a man who happens to have a thing for black women, think is correct), and don't most people in any race look similar anyway? It's almost like races are groupings of ethnicities based off common physical traits.
>Also nonsensical that you accuse me of labeling people as Hitlerites, when two posts above mine are calling Badenoch a "fascist" and an "authoritarian".
I kind of just assumed that was you, honestly.
>Maybe owning a wireless mouse makes me a closet libertarian? Or does wearing Mizuno running shoes to work reveal my true identity as an unreformed neo-con?
In the same way that owning a massive rubber cock means that a man probably isn't straight, drinking coffee means that a man probably likes quorn, oat milk and Labour.

We have two problems on this website. Actual genuine rightcels who wilfully misunderstand what left means, and libcels who earnestly think they know what left means.

The former misconstrues Guardian-tier studenty wank politics as left, because it suits their agenda. The latter misconstrues Guardian-tier studenty wank politics as left, because they are tossers who want to believe they are the good guys, when they are in fact, the very core and entire of the problem and if it was up to me we'd have pogroms to wipe them out.

I don't know who's who in this thread any more, but certainly in the Trump thread, this is the basis of much argument at cross-purposes.

You sound like someone who bases his entire personality on Jeremy Clarkson's TV persona. I can't think why else you'd talk such shite. Untreated cranial trauma, perhaps?

And for the record, I don't like making fun of anyone based on how they look. It's creepy and childish. If how much of Badenoch's gums you can see when she smiles offends you, you are a moron.

You drink coffee when you're eating meals?

Personally I'll sip a latte when I'm at work until lunchtime or just make a milky coffee in the morning if I'm at home, I don't like it burning hot. I'm not sure if this impacts my politics but I do work as an office drone in Central London so there might be some truth to it.

Although I drink black coffee if I'm somewhere like Germany, we mustn't show weakness to the continentals.

"Coffee is a funny foreign drink that has no place here" is a hill I'm willing to die on, but the idea that a latte is bourgeois is utterly ridiculous. McDonalds sell flat whites, for fuck's sake. I think the ponces are drinking pour-overs these days, but I can't be sure.

It's an outdated reference but you all know exactly what archetype it means. That doesn't change just because there's a Costa Coffee around every corner wherever you go nowadays.

I don't know why any of you are getting bumsore about racism, nobody has even been racist so far, the thread has had nothing but making fun of a vile woman for being a vile woman. Doesn't matter what colour she is, other than how her party keeps cynically trying to put ethnics in the spotlight to deflect criticism. The fuck are you carrying water for this bitch for.

Badenoch on the other hand, she seems like she'd be very naive and vanilla when it comes to sex, missionary only, only in the pussy, no facials, that sort of thing. Am I right or am I wrong?

Yeah, mostly if I'm eating a cooked breakfast of vegan sausages and organic Black beans, of course, but sometimes with lunch or tea dinner. Is it that unusual?

>>100627
My understanding is that coffee and tea began to be drunk in the UK at around the same time period. However, I know coffee is from East Africa and tea is from China. Ergo tea is the funnier, more foreign drink simply by dint of being from further away.

> It's an outdated reference but you all know exactly what archetype it means. That doesn't change just because there's a Costa Coffee around every corner wherever you go nowadays.
I regret to inform you that it does indeed change, my tea drinking, old head, friend. Just as the stereotypes about the coffee consumers of the 1700s would make no sense to level at someone sat outside a Costa, enjoying a mocha and desperately looking for a break in the clouds, the stereotypes of the 1970s or '80s, wherever you've gotten this bollocks from, make no sense in 2024. The ubiquity of coffee drinking has remade it's cultural context completely anew. "The past is another country" goes both ways.

>The fuck

My GCSE level understanding of English is enough to know that "putting the cart before the horse" is a non-literal idiom, not a stereotype.

Someone on here recently suggested that about a quarter of the country are functionally illiterate. Ever since it's been hard for me to ignore the merit in what he said.

If there's one thing I've learned (that's not literal by the way, I have learned a lot more than one thing. Possibly up to five.) in the course of my life it's that people who are boring pedantic spods like this about the English language, are the worst at it. Not a single drop of imagination in your grumpy nitpicky little brain. You were a grass at school n' all I bet.

It's not about "imagination" or being "pedantic", it's that saying idioms and stereotypes are the same thing is fucking stupid. He literally thinks people who drink coffee are snooty, pinkies out, "citizens of the world" types. When someone says "don't put the cart before the horse", no one starts looking around for an actual horse, do they? It doesn't make any sense to justify the former with the existence of the latter, does it? Or do you think it does?

Also who gives a fuck what any cunt was like at school, you sad twat. Unless you're the titular character from We Need to Talk About Kevin, it's really of no interest. And what were you like in school anyway, eh?

Eagle Fin Rag, to give him his anagram name, is looking like he might manage to bring about electoral reform after all, and that'll be the end of both Labour and the Conservatives. Then Reform UK will implode just like UKIP and the Brexit Party did, and the new Conservatives will bounce back much faster than the new Labour do. But it won't matter, because the side effect of this utterly fabulous news will be some utterly ruinous horseshit from Garfiel Egan that fucks everything up anyway.

I've noticed that Jimmy has gone quiet on electoral reform actually and I suspect if they form a government it will slip right off the agenda. On Reform's own website they talk about their first 100 days of constitutional reform as being focused on withdrawing from the ECHR (and "reforming" the Human Rights Act), reforming the House of Lords away from political appointments and cronyism, moving to an American-style civil service led by political appointees from the private sector and scrapping postal votes for people under 65.

PR is then listed along with a British Bill of Rights but only after the first 100 days and will be subject to a referendum. And the bit at the bottom tells me that all of this stuff is cost neutral.
https://assets.nationbuilder.com/reformuk/pages/253/attachments/original/1718625371/Reform_UK_Our_Contract_with_You.pdf?1718625371

With that all said it would be a laugh to see a Reform-LibDem pact after an election where we get a referendum on PR and re-joining the EU with both passing. Seeing Savile have to do a speech at Number 10 after his own government leads to Britain re-joining a new and more federal EU would be a strong signal of the world's continued descent into a cartoon.
