I have been away a very long time on a very long and strange journey and I now find myself unable to use the site. Does anyone have a manual laying about?
Tell us of your journeys, traveller. What were things like when you left? How have things changed? Don't go down the end of that beach, you might find something distressing sticking out of the sand.
>>15278 When I left the site had its first Female Mod, everything looked the same and it was comforting to find one of my old threads still knocking about.
There was much more sweary words back then, and people putting prescription drugs up their bottoms in the IRC. Also we had a radio of sorts. it was a long long time ago it seems... almost 9 years from the looks of things. Oh and the Mods! there were some very strange Mods, and some persons from Bristol who seemed unhinged.
I have had all my operations and rebuilt my career, its been a long long journey and I am very glad it is over so that I can get back to slacking on .GS while being paid to do it.
>>15279 >I have had all my operations
Are you the poor sod from /emo/ who had gone from peak fitness to being held together with twigs and twine due to a horrific succession of botched operations?
That is me. I have returned after all my ops and my life being turned upside down. Long road back though. Is purple still about? We had some good beers a few times and I would love a catch up with him.
>>15284 still got a fair bit of pain, but instead of giving into it I got angry at it and studied very hard. Pulled things together and now I’m living in Scotland working for a software development company. Things are going much much better than they were. Still have some rough days but on the whole I can see it’s going to get better again a day or so later.
I’m sorry my posts left such an impression on you.
