I will be doing some maintenance around 1am. You will still be able to browse the boards, but star might break like this or you might get white pages or worse.
Either have a cup of tea or sit and press refresh like a motherfucker, it does not matter, the interruptions might last fiften minutes.
>>16053 It's a very good opinion. If you want to live in a World Wide Web of AI sludge, okay, but I don't want to. There aren't any sensible arguments in favour of making the internet even worse, but it sounds like you do a little jig whenever you see a banner ad or an autoplaying spam video, so maybe you're real life Gremlin of sorts. We clearly have different moral centres. Or rather, I have one, you're too stupid to do so.
And if you're defending vertical video formats then you're too far gone and the only option for you is the hospice.
>>16054 The old one is old. Old version of Linux, old version of PHP and old version of MySQL. Also, it's in Ireland and I want it to be in the UK now. It's in Uncle Jeffs cloud ladm9, we treat our servers as cattle and not as pets.
After I fixed the delete bug, I fixed a load more bugs and updated the code to the newest version of PHP, and also made it a load more cloud friendly, and removed a load of shite that we never used or was buggy. I also made a version of the site that runs in Python and uses more modern approaches, and also made a version of the site that was proper mobile friendly and single page app.
We have to shift servers because of all the above. If nothing else, it should look the same (for now) and be a bit faster.
Also, pleased to see a /shed/ thread turn into a cunt-off.

Can you also add a list somewhere of all the fun hidden things this site has? I can never remember if the list of recent visitors is at /sentry or /sentinel and if I can't remember that, how will I ever hope to find the others?
>>16057 Those should probably be on the features page - currently there's a link to that if you click Help, the link to which is only visible when not using /*. It's the digital equivalent of a "Beware of the Leopard" setup. Some hidden things should stay hidden, all the same.
>>16062 Apologies ladm9s, one of you made a post either side of a database snapshot, so you'll have to make it again. Otherwise everything should be back to normal for the time being - I'll be doing some more updates later this month.
>>16071 I just got another SSL warning. Stop trying to steal my credit card information! Weirdly, though, it happened while refreshing the page I was already on, which was /*/.
