how to make a white noise alarm clock?

i've got a little alarm like this and i want to hook up a small white noise generator to it instead of the buzzer

how to do this?

(A good day to you Sir!)

Isn't radio static essentially white noise?

why not use a radio alarm clock not tuned to a station?

A white noise generator is a relatively simple project if you're handy with a soldering iron, and it'd wouldn't be hugely complicated to hook up to an alarm either.

I'd recommend looking for a more 'musical' noise generator that allows you to do white, pink, brown noise etc and blend them, as I suspect even for your needs pure electrical white noise might be too harsh. Something based on something like the Doepfer A-118 Noise module would be good, and I think you can get the schematics to make the circuit yourself.

As >>2530 says a much simpler solution already exists, but if you're after a project then here :

Learn how a bread board works and you can even skip the soldering.

Please consider a mechanical wind-up alarm clock rather than a battery-powered one.

A week ago I had a dream about inventing a less stressful alarm clock that wakes you up with a gust of air instead of a shrill alarm sound.

Might be worth hooking up a cheap mains timer to my fan to see if it would actually work.

Point one of those dyson airblades at your face. That'd get anyone up.

The thing about insomnia is, you don't need an alarm clock.
