So /y/, I’m looking for a date.
However, there’s a slight problem in that the local gay scene sucks for meeting other guys unless you happen to be into creepy older men and vapid twinks, and I’m one of those guys who usually comes across 100% straight so I’ve never had any luck meeting people outside the scene.
Anyway I was going to give some dating sites a try, can /y/ reccomend any good (preferably free) ones?
Have you tried the usual Gaydar, Ladslads etc?
If you've got a smartphone it's always worth installing Grindr or Scruff (if you're into more bear/cub type lads).
On any gay dating site/app it's always best to make it clear on your main profile, that you're not interested in a quick shag and you're looking something a bit more longer term.
I would advise you use something a bit more broad spectrum.
OkCupid is free and gives you much more room to sell yourself to others than the likes of Ladslads which expect you to subscribe for the same luxury.
There are a lot of nice guys on OkC, I was finding it hard to find people who weren't weirdos on the scene. I'm pretty masculine aswell and apart from my lust for male genatalia you would never know. I'm in a relationship with a M2F TG now that I met on OkC, I'd recommend it to anyone.
Just stay away from people who sound like fart sniffers, by which I mean concieted though either ir reprehensible.
I wouldn't touch ladslads with a bargepole. It looks good on the surface but a quick google brings up all kinds of allegations of shady shit in the first 2 or 3 pages.
