Unless you're incredibly hairy, you probably don't need to shave your arse hair - it tends to get slicked down with lube. If you do shave, you'll be itching like hell when it grows back.
The knack is to understand your anatomy. There are two anal sphincters, the internal and external sphincter. The external sphincter controls the area around the anus and operates under some degree of conscious control - you can consciously relax and tigthen it. The internal sphincter starts a couple of centimetres up your bum and isn't under your conscious control. If you're tense and nervous, the internal sphincter will contract and penetration will inevitably be painful. You need to work up slowly from one finger to two fingers to three fingers or a toy, getting yourself used to the sensations and relaxing at each stage. If you rush it or try and force it, your internal sphincter will clamp up. It's usually easier to push something up your arse if you bear down like you're having a shit, which causes your sphincters to reflexively relax.
There are two kinds of lube that you'll want to consider, water-based and silicone-based. Silicone based lube lasts for ages and you only need a dab, but it's quite difficult to clean up and will damage silicone toys. Water based doesn't last as long and needs refreshing every few minutes with water or more lube, but it's much easier to clean up. If you opt for a water-based lube, choose an anal-specific lube - they're much thicker than general purpose lubes so they stay where you need it. You can't go far wrong with Gun Oil or Maximus.
Poppers are a godsend. They open you right up and make the sensations much more intense. A whiff of poppers and I feel like my arse is ravenously hungry and needs filling. Some people get headaches from poppers and you shouldn't go near them if you've got a dicky ticker or use Viagra, but otherwise I can't recommend them highly enough.
If you're shopping for toys, make sure you get something with a flanged base so it can't disappear up there. For strapon use, by far the best option is the Fun Factory Share - it's not cheap, but it can be used with or without a strap and provides a tremendous amount of sensation for the 'giver'.
>>1406 Quite. Thank you for the recommendation; not OP but the reviews for the Feeldoes were always a bit lacklustre so I'd held off on buying one. Good to know there are alternatives operating on the same principle.
Fun Factory share is better in my experience - it's a bit more girthier for the lass so it stays in with less effort. That being said, if she's tight prepare to go down on her and use a jug of lube.
OP here, not too sure if I want to fuck her anus yet, after reading that pegging "puts you in the perspective of the woman" it set my submissive side alight and has had me hungering to be fucked from behind for a while now. The advice provided here is appreciated, might post a pic of my arse just to gauge whether or not it's best I at least trim it.
If I'm reading your post correctly, I think there are some crossed wires. The Fun Factory Share is a dildo designed for pegging. The bulbous end goes up her vagina, which allows her to peg you without a strapon harness - the bulb is held in by her vaginal muscles, with the curved bit resting against her labia and clit. There are advantages in the design for both the pegger and the pegee; Women often struggle to get the right thrusting motion when pegging, but the shape of the Share means that grinding your clit against the curved bit causes you to naturally make the right motion.
Some women can cum from using the Share and let me tell you, there is little in this world hornier than a woman pounding on your arse like a jackhammer to get herself off. If the stars align, you can get a beautiful d/s dynamic where she wants to go harder and faster than you do, which is just utterly delicious. The Share is based on a previous design called the Feeldoe, which didn't work brilliantly well because the bulb was quite small and difficult to grip. The larger bulb on the Share is a rather girthier insertion than a lot of women are used to, hence >>1417's caveats.
If your diet isn't clean and you don't douche, you're gonna have a bad time. Aside from preparation, anal sex is mostly a mental challenge.
From what I've read, women when pegging tend to go too quickly and roughly in an effort to tear your arse to shreds. Don't skip the foreplay, it's for your benefit.
>>1426 >women when pegging tend to go too quickly and roughly in an effort to tear your arse to shreds
That's half the fun. Seriously, IME the problem is the reverse - they struggle to get the pelvic thrusting motion right and end up awkwardly wobbling about rather than giving you a good hard shagging.
I've heard that vibrating things up the bum is a bad idea because it fucks with the nerves or something like that. It's just hearsay to me but you may want to look it up as if it's true it's not safe.
