Am I the only one who copies, deletes then re-posts an edited version of posts I make if I find a mistake in the original? You know, other than those people who actually proofread.

I've been thinking this for a while and decided to post about it now after finding someone refer to themselves as 'Phonelad'. I'm not exactly complaining about the 'meme', its nice to see that progression, just the fact that there's a simple way to edit posts without messing up the board and people don't seem to use it.

I do if I'm not on my phone, which is usually when I make more errors.

What bothers me is the ones that make a second post correcting their previous post rather than just deleting and making a fixed post. It's one thing if a bunch of people have responded but if yours is the last one then fucking delete it and get it right. Phones can copy text, there's no excuse.

I'm always leaving out connective words or just straight up ending sentences half finished, because I'm thinking ahead of my typing. So, yeah, I do it quite often as well, OP.

And posting from a phone is a total pain, so I'd give them a break.

I do it loads. It often takes me about three attempts to make an error-free post.

Same. Mostly when I'm posting from a phone. Very rarely will I leave it up, I'll navigate the fucking awful display and try to delete it and repost with the corrections.

I do it too. But I've always assumed it was just drugs-induced brain damage as opposed to flattering myself with the old "I think too fast" fallacy.

In any case I always delete my posts and make them again if there's a glaring error or something that might cause confusion. If after the second or third time I still don't get it 100% right, but it's understandable, then I'll just leave it be.

If you can't write a decent post, do something else. Like shitting. Or Angry Birds.

Sadly not all of us have fancy machines with massive screens we can post from with proper keyboards at our disposal 24/7, mainly because we have to go to work, where we are stuck with our phones instead.

It's easier to write a post using a dedicated notemaking app and then paste the content into the post form in my experience.
