I'm not a smoker but I do want to start trying out weed to see if I can get a better night's sleep out of it and for a bit of fun on a weekend. I'm not up to the idea of rolling a joint American-style because I reckon it will be too harsh and cooking the stuff into cakes and the like is a lot of fucking about and the effects go on a bit that way.
Vaping seems like the best choice for me to get an immediate hit where I can get plenty of control over how much I take and still not have to smoke tobacco but before I sink any money into this idea I'd like to get some of your opinions on it.
Is there anything I should know about vapers? I've heard they're expensive but I don't mind laying out for one if they're worth it.
Do I miss out on anything by doing it this way?
Does it still stink? I'd quite like to be able to do it inside my flat.
Also, I would love some hints on where to get one if anyone has any.
My mate bought one of the little handheld ones. Last I heard he'd given up on - too much faff keeping it clean and working. I had a little go on it and I hated the taste. It has quite a distinctive smell, it's not subtle. I'd try one out if possible.

I've bought a moderately priced vape, I think it was about fifty quid. I'ts pretty good, and just as social as smoking, just plonk it on a table and pass the hose around.

One thing you should do if possible is get one with a reliable temperature control. The makeup of weed with the THC, CBD's and other cannabinoids means that the temperature you vape the weed at affects the kind of stoned you get. If i remember correctly, you want to vape it at a lower temperature to get giddy and euphoric, and then at higher temperatures to get couchlocked and dozy. Of course, all of this depends on the strains you have as well.
The volcano vape is also meant to be Pretty Fucking Badass also, although the price is truly one that makes you hesitate.
You could get a cheap bubbler and see how you go with that before you jump into buying an expensive vaporizer, it's as small as a pipe but you get quite a smooth hit.
