7913 Liberty Caps
It's the most, wonderful ti-i-ime, of the yeeaaar.

Do any of you lads like a bit of foraging for fungi each autumn? The season started early this year, but pickings have been slim for me. I'm going to go again in the peak district on thursday and I'll post my haul here.

I'd completely forgotten it's Septober. I don't bother with mushies any more as it's too much of a coin flip on whether I have a good time or not. I'd be interested to see the pictures though.

Every year I'd go to Kew Gardens to have a poke about, and every year I'd find fuck all. I reckon the staff nick the lot before you have a chance. Apparently Hampstead Heath is a good spot. Liberty caps are known toxic (bad bellyache) so really you should just jump on a ryanair flight to the dam and load up on top quality tampanensis truffles really.

I didn't think the conditions would be right for these yet, considering how abnormally warm it's been through the last couple of months. We've had a couple of big downpours though I suppose.

In my shroom days (now long past, sadly) I found, or at least believed, that removing the stems helped with this.

I also never had belly issues when eating them fresh.

Anyone on here had any experience with mixing them in with honey?
I've just started my haul for the year and am looking for ways to store them until next festival season, but getting conflicting info on whether it'd be worthwhile all over the place.

>>7968 well done on finding an appropriate thread lad.

Now, best thing, in my opinion, is to dry them out. Maybe, unless you own a dehydrator, is put them in the oven on low for a few hours and see what happens. I used to dehydrate my own fruit and it would last a long time, maybe the same will apply to this?

>>7971 my limited experience and unwillingness to Google tells me that there's fly agaric in there. As far as I know, that's just poisonous and has no psychedelic properties...?

Nah they're fine. Not as strong as liberty caps I'd say but they're still good.

About ten years ago I ate around twenty dried grams of Amanita muscaria. I still occasionally ponder that I may still one day wake up in a shared flat in Willesden Green with a minging headache and this last night ten shitty years have all been a foul fever dream. The other option being that I died and this is hell. Which is also plausible.

Do not recommend.

Willesden Green. Fucking Willesden Green. Now there's a place I haven't been to in about ten years.

Fly agaric is mildly poisonous and psychedelic. You can boil it to remove the poison but that also removes the drug so it's pointless. Stick to liberty caps.

Shame all good things are illegal. Including suicide.
