472375 5th circle of parcel hell
Good morning fellers.

A friend sent me something from Sweden about a month ago, and it still hasn't turned up (it was a second hand jacket). He sent it as a gift so it shouldn't be subjected to extra VAT, but he suspects it must be stuck in customs (unless it was lost or stolen by Postnord, which I have since realised is so notoriously terrible as to be managed by Satan himself). The parcel isn't tracked (since that cost £40 and we thought 'what could go wrong?'), but he sent a so-far-not-responded-to enquiry to Postnord.

I gather there is a rather complicated system of checking the status of goods in British customs, but that seems to be set up for trade purposes, i.e. if you're importing large amounts of stock. So what I'd like to know is (in the case it has actually arrived in Britain) is there a way of checking the customs status of a single parcel?
