What's some good music to listen to whilst running?

Something that will keep me pumped when I want to stop the torture.

Are you saying you listen to Neil Cicierega while you work out?

I listen to nightcore but the nature of the music has changed in recent years it has turned into over the top emotional stuff rather than the hyped up dance music I like. So it is probably harder to find 'good stuff' than it used to be.

Somebody once told me they only ever listen to the soundtracks from Dreamworks movies when they work out.

Eurobeat. Most of the songs are about driving, but it's non-stop high BPM action.

I listen to film scores quite a bit. The Dark Knight score is pretty great for weightlifting.

As for running, I'm not sure, other than maybe drum and bass. Try some Black Sun Empire.

I've found the Trentemøller remix of 'We Share Our Mother's Health' to be an ideal example of a running track. Counter-intuitively you don't want something that is consistently fast paced as you will be hanging out your hoop after the first minute but a song you can zone out with that has ebbs and flows.

The Knife in general is good for medium distance now that I think about it.

I am, but I haven't listened to Smodcast since he turned into 420 Kev, so I don't get the reference.

I tend to listen to soul or its cheesy 80s variant, i.e Luther Vandross, Chaka khan etc. I've been told it is massively 'gay', but there you go.

No it's from one of his Q&As, he's asked about the... oh wait it's The Dark Knight Rises he is referring to. He says Bane's theme from the trailer, 'Matalo Bane' etc., really makes you want to go down to the gym and start pumping iron to it.

I liked it and I agree with your point.

I think I've found my own stuff I can listen to. It's got the perfect mix of music and comedy breaks to keep me going. It's Chris Morris's radio 1 music show from the early 90s. Back when all the music on radio 1 was great. If you guys want it's here, with other Morris radio stuff:

Another advantage to eurobeat is that there are literally hundreds of compilation albums:

And what's more Disney actually makes Eurobeat songs in house. So there are Eurobeat versions of all of your favourite songs!

Disney actually has quite an impressive output in multiple genres. I guess they have no shortage of musicians willing to appear on their compilation albums.

Although it's obvious when they get somewhat successful names in they tend to phone it in. The Bare Necessities Quintet is a better example of jazz covers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKJf-dEhbQg[/spoiler]
