Already have em all from the same bundle, but good lad. Hope .gs is nice enough to only take one each.

Also Superfrog HD is fanfuckingtastic but I can see why reviews say you have to be a fan of the original really.

That one was very clever. I can remember years later being unimpressed by various indie games ripping the idea off and putting fancy or pretentious graphics and styling on top and being hailed as great inventors. Not the first and won't be the last.

***ORIGINAL CONTENT DO NOT COPY***

The games medium has got old enough it is suffering from the same problems as music, film and literature. People lifitng a great deal of their work or inspiration from elsewhere. The other industries or fields are mature enough and have good enough critics and standards they can pick up on this, identify it and spread the word or judge it accordingly. Unfortunately the games industry is very immature in more than one sense of the word, as are the fans, critics and apparatus built around it. I'm hoping it is only a matter of time, but it really can't come soon enough.

Anyone remember the Net Yaroze game where you controlled an island in the sky and it sent out fighters/bombers and you had to battle an AI who did similar. You also controlled a fighter yourself and could get stuck into the fray to tip the balance. It was like an air based version of Future Cop's skirmish mode, "precinct assault" (which was also excellent).

>>17267

That was actually a decent little game. Some of those Net Yaroze chaps had talent.

>Future Cop's skirmish mode, "precinct assault"

"Remember - Hovertanks, turrents, points, crime...beautiful". The multiplayer or skirmish mode was probably even better and more fun than the already fun main campaign. It had a good variation of difficulties and a nice extra hard secret mode. It'd be a super game to remake these days and with map making and modding possibilities it would have a lot more options. Add G-Police to that remake pile please.

One does not do good deeds for the praise and adulation; that way madness lies.

Just noticed they have a new tab on HB. Now there's the normal one, weekly one, and a new one called Store. Thay have different sales on every day in there apparently, and this is day one. I just bought Euro Truck Simulator 2 for 4 quid because I'm a sad bastard.

Chorus grated a bit but I was more amused with the verses than I thought I would be.

You should try the street sweeper simulator. It even has the warning beeps and loops for the virtual pedestrians.

Know what I especially like about the new tab on HB? the part where you can select Linux, and it only shows games available for Linux (bottom leftish).
Years ago, I told everyone that Linux could be a viable gaming platform. They called me mad! WELL LOOK WHO'S LAUGHING NOW!
