If you have an old enough account, it'll be a username you need to log in with, rather than an email. That was my issue trying to get back into it a few years back. But obviously if you can't find anything by searching your emails then I'm not sure what else to do, other than buy the game again, but I can't imagine anyone actually buying Minecraft in 2019.

Good answer, just to check will you be backing up the server at all and if how regularly? When a dick head strikes, permbanning might stop the problem contiuning, but won't repair the damage, I'm a bit on edge as a friends private server somehow got griefed and they ruined everything.

It'll be backed up at least twice daily and at most hourly, depending on how many people actually end up using it. I remember running a great 'undo' plugin back in the day that would basically reverse any griefer damage, though I suppose land claiming or faction stuff is easier/better if we really want to go that route.

Either way I'd not worry. I don't remember any proper griefing on the old server, and that was back in the dark, wild days of this site when we still allowed foreigners and that.

I'm also open to running a heavily modded server, Sky Factory always looked fun to me but open to suggestions. Maybe I'm being too optimistic about getting it as big as the last one was, we'll see. Feel free to invite all your weird friends, I left the 'fag' out of the address for that reason.

For a massive improvement to any discord experience, I can really heartily recommend NVidia RTX Voice. It works so well, I'm really surprised. I can be typing on my Model M and have my game at normal volume on my speakers and it filters it right out - you can just talk at normal volume.

Game changer, I no longer have to play my games almost on mute.

No.

Typically yes, everyone can. Most servers have automatic welcome messages and some also have automatic farewell messages which show when users enter or leave (but not come online/offline). The gs one doesn't have that, at least not one that's visible to users right now.

Yeah .. There're one or two interesting characters but overall it felt a bit odd, like familiar strangers struggling to converse at a bus stop.
I quite liked the idea of it being a pub you'd virtually pop into every now and then, but to roleplay it would be weird.

I joined a discord gaming server, got chatting and slowly getting to know the other members. Today I took on their guild name and played my first muliplayer game with them.
It was kind of fun an all and I want to participate in organised activity, but hell I feel almost robbed of my hobby. Gonna have to chat with these dudes every time I play, now - it'd be rude to mute them all when I want a quiet solo session.
