Any recommendations for a good android offline map?

I've tried a few free ones but a lot of road name missing , text placement is terrible etc.

Yeah I'll second this request. My phone is fucking useless just when I need it.

You may find you get better responses for this query in /g/, mate.

I don't mind if you delete and repost this there.

Google Maps has offline search. If I'm in a civilised part of the country I'll use Citymapper though.

Only on gs would you get told off for posting about maps on the board called /map/.

Are you sure you're up to date with the maps on HERE? I just turned my WiFi and data off on my phone and I'm still able to search for addresses and postcodes no problem. I've even managed to get HERE Drive to satnav me to an address without data.

I've heard good things about Osmand. I'll be installing it soon

Smartphones are like, properly exciting.

>In journeys and GO mode we will advise you where (front / middle / back) to get on the train in order to be best positioned to the exit / transfer when you get off.

>In peak hours this will knock minutes of your journey time and lead to more combined zen in the city.

Google maps is not bad, but it's got almost non existent place saving functionality.

Is there anything that fills that gap?
