I think if we simply renamed /zoo/ to /int/ it would save a lot of bother in the long run. If the purpose was simply to keep baka gaijin out then they would quickly see that /zoo/ rarely if ever gets new posts and leave.

Could /int/ redirect to /zoo/, with the page title "world" changed to "/zoo/" to drive home the point? Or perhaps redirect to /help/, with it slightly altered to function as a landing page for those searching for an /int/? (Incidentally there is no link to /help/ on the top bar, which does somewhat limit its helpfulness, and the manifesto, which seemed funny to me in ~2009, doesn't any more. Maybe I've just become a curmudgeonly cunt, or maybe it's dated, I don't know.)

We are inaccessible to (at least post from) large swathes of the world at the moment anyway, so the risk of riff-raff overwhelming the site seems rather small.

The hoi polloi have ruined this place. It used to be a cosy old man pub with a dog and a fireplace, now it's a wetherspoons full of students and I'm just huddled in the one 'nice' banquette giving funny looks to all the European haircuts.
