IT'S SHITE BEING IN MIDDLESBROUGH.
|>>|| No. 638
Harrogate, so I pretty much shit on all you council estate scumbags.
|>>|| No. 639
Expatriated Yarm-ite here. I took a Southern ex there once. He asked where all the black people were.
|>>|| No. 640
Come come. You and I know that Harrogate harbours a considerable population of ratboys.
|>>|| No. 651
Grimsby is Lincolnshire, not the North East. It's like Yorkshire-lite
|>>|| No. 654
what's the cheapest way of getting from middlesbrough to leeds (or anywhere else nice in the NE?)
|>>|| No. 656
It's featured on the map, so my misleading stems from there.
|>>|| No. 660
I'm more north-east then any of you yorkshire fags, you aren't even in the north-east. Posh twats.
|>>|| No. 665
Live in Stockton, work in Thornaby. I'm shocked there are so many people on .gs from round these parts actually.
I hate the North, so very much. Anyone up for a pint and a trip to Akbars?
|>>|| No. 668
I'm not sure whether we'd really get on well together, i'm 18 and look like one of the beatles.
|>>|| No. 669
I am 20 and was told yesterday that I have hair like Ringo. Needs a major cut and style, roll on payday.
I still haven' been to Akbars since it opened; heard good things about it though.
|>>|| No. 670
Ha, i'm not out much down Middlesbrough so i don't really know all the good places. The crown is an emo-fest.
Who the fuck starts a mosh pit to fall out boy? These people do.
|>>|| No. 672
the metal room in the cornerhouse on a Friday night is superior, if you're into that sort of thing. It's also well stocked with delicious indie and the tarts who go with that; perfect for a dirty scenester like me.
|>>|| No. 673
I listen to almost anything.
Current playlist includes ready to die, men in black, mr blue sky, good vibrations and dreaming of you.
|>>|| No. 676
I've never heard of that stuff before. More information please.
Fucking sumo. Despite its awesome reputation, it'll be a cold day in hell that I dish out £5 for a nightclub. I don't care how many rooms it has, it won't have an avant garde or instrumental tech metal room.
|>>|| No. 677
Geordie here. The most North-east you can get withoot being in the sea, Scotland, or the middle of nowhere.
|>>|| No. 686
Anyone used to go to Blaises? Those were the days, my friends.
|>>|| No. 687
It reopened as "Blazers" a few years ago. It was right shit.
|>>|| No. 891
I'm currently living in Newcastle. I miss Liverpool an awful lot.
|>>|| No. 892
I've been to Scarborough a couple of times. It's fucking depressing.
|>>|| No. 896
Morpeth, 20 minutes north of Newcastle. Quiet little place.
|>>|| No. 899
Morpeth... are you new here? What is Woolworth now?
|>>|| No. 900
I lived in Newcastle for a couple of decades, I now live and study in Leeds. I think anything south of Darlington should really be classed as the south, or at least the midlands. These people are most certainly not northern, though there's about 3 Greggs to every person here, so perhaps I am being uncharitable. Everyone who was born here seems to insist they're midlanders too though.
|>>|| No. 912
Home is in North-East (Near Newcastle), studying elsewhere though. Coming back for the Fenwicks Christmas window display.
|>>|| No. 928
It's worth seeing this year, there's a huge Monty Python joke in the first panel
|>>|| No. 934
Ahh mate I just quickly walked past it the other week and missed it, I guess its something to do with the life of Brian. What was it?
|>>|| No. 940
Hull? Grimsby? Huddersfield?
Anything south of Scotch Corner is Southern England to me.
|>>|| No. 944
I'm a Southerner in York. My life revolves around avoiding the buses as I can never communicate with the driver.
|>>|| No. 945
I hate the North. The girls are so fucking hot, and they have this cockiness about them when talking to a bloke from the South. Drives me insane, because I want to shag all of them when I hear the accents; particularly those of Sheffield, Yorkshire (just about), and Newcastle.
All my exs are from the north. :(.
But yeah, Berwick is a nice place.
|>>|| No. 952
Newcastle/Wallsendfag here, but originally from near Embra.
|>>|| No. 958
I didn't think I'd ever see another person who'd even heard of wallsend on here. Well done!
|>>|| No. 994
Another from Newcastle, here.
God I love the International market at the moment.
|>>|| No. 1019
Am I the only one representing Sunderland?
|>>|| No. 1069
tell me about it
middlesbrough is a shit hole but the parmos are good ;D
admiral coolhair reporting in.
any good irl raids on soon?
|>>|| No. 1089
I wouldn't call Leeds 'nice', mind, though I suppose if you live in boro everything seems nice...
|>>|| No. 1175
Goolefag here, though I'd rather not be.
|>>|| No. 1244
NEfags, I hope you can help me.
There's a cracking band (dysrhythmia) on at the trillian.
Do I need to buy tickets beforehand? What's the best way of getting up there from middlesbrough for the 15th of june?
|>>|| No. 1246
By the trillian do you mean Trillians, the pub/club thing in Newcastle? If so you'll be able to pay on the door and they don't really mind if they're overbooked (though they probably won't be)
The best way to get here, if you don't have access to a car, is the train. It'll probably cost about £8 each way but don't hold me to that. There's a normal bus, the X10, that goes from boro concourse to Newcastle too. It's dead cheap.
|>>|| No. 1247
ta mate. £13 return train ticket. Although the fucker says "redcar to newcastle" but the woman who sold me told me it was ok.
I hope you turn up, it might be a free show.
|>>|| No. 1306
god fucking damnit. I've been living here for about 4 years. Moved back after some things fell though, and now, every day police cars go past my window with the klaxons blaring and just now, I heard a chopper fly by.
Middlesbrough would be pretty good if it wasn't for the non existent music scene, chavs everywhere and shittons of crime.
|>>|| No. 1313
Barnsley here, small down near Leeds and Sheffield. Feels bad, lads.
|>>|| No. 1363
I'm from Cramlington, a town which makes no fucking sense at all and that none of you will ever have heard of, much less been too.
All the nice bits are in the middle and you're beleaguered by chavs and scum on every which side. Also the scum can't afford knives so a while back a few cases were reported of people being stabbed with sharpened screwdrivers.
Whey. Fuck this shit. At least it's not Blyth.
|>>|| No. 1370
I've heard of Cramlington, I was going to say I was offended you would challenge my local knowledge, but the only reason I know it exists is because there's a bus around here that goes there. Nobody's ever been, it could well be a place the bus company had made up until you came along, like Throckley. All the buses go there too but I suspect nobody lives there.
>At least it's not Blyth.
I can't count the amount of times I have said that to myself.
|>>|| No. 1371
I'm in Dewsbury for the next few days.
|>>|| No. 1380
I'm sure Cramlington was only put there to mark the end of the A19.
Newcastle (Or rather Whitley Bay) reporting here.
|>>|| No. 1400
No, people do live here! I'm one of them. Alright, not by CHOICE, but... at least I can drop into newcastle whenever I feel like. Even if we don't have a sodding metro, we havea train at least.
Not being Blyth is the best thing about everywhere else in the world; it is just that shit.
Maybe. But it's kind of like marking the end of a war with a celebratory holocaust.
|>>|| No. 1696
Actually, I just looked and it's on the outside of the little bend next to Grimsby. So, no, as it happens.
|>>|| No. 1703
Quite surprising, was not expecting this many people. /map/ meetup at Akbars?
Several months in the future, but I'm an undergrad there.
|>>|| No. 1827
I'm from Cumbria but study at Newcastle.
I know both Derrick Bird and Raoul Moat by two degrees of separation.
|>>|| No. 1842
I'm moving to Leeds in a week.
|>>|| No. 1851
>Ford Kiernan in a flat cap
What the hull are you thinking?
|>>|| No. 1874
Could anyone tell me about the relative worths of the art galleries of Newcastle? I'm visiting this Saturday and want to know what my priorities should be. The 'Tyne and Wear Museums' page wasn't as helpful as I'd hoped.
|>>|| No. 1875
The Laing is usually alright, the Baltic is impressive, though it depends on the installations, and the Biscuit Factory is a load of wankers trying to sell you their shit sculptures.
Do the first two, I imagine you'll have time for both. Baltic first, I'd say.
