I'm a 22 year old male, living at home with parents, in an affluent area. I'm taking my driving test soon, but assuming all goes well, what are some decent, realistic options insurance wise? I'd like to get a 90-98 civic hatchback. Is that something doable? |

How about using a car insurance website to get a quote? |

Use multiple comparison websites. There are far too many insurance companies out there for there to be any advantage in comparing deals one by one. You only live for so long, do you really want to spend a hundred hours of your life filling it tedious electronic forms to save (maybe) a hundred quid a year? You can't beat the comparison websites without committing fraud, in my experience. |

The insurance steeply goes up for any car older than about 12 years old, so if you can afford it (Will likely be upwards of £2k for the first year) then go for it. What would probably be a better idea is to go for a shitty cheap corsa for a year, get than NCD then try your luck on the Civic. |

>It's a shame the cheapest cars to insure all look, well, gay. Why is it there is more choice out there for women, cheap car wise? |
