Is the music out yet? I can't imagine anything good will come of it. ABBA are more about the style than any individual song; the best thing they can possibly release is music that sounds exactly like their old stuff. But if they do that, then what's the point? They're either going to release music that didn't need to be released because there are no more disco-pop worlds to conquer, or they're going to release music that's worse than all their epic bangers and it will tarnish their legacy. It's like a sequel to the Mona Lisa, or that film version of The Simpsons. Even if it's good, there's just no point.

At least that means Steps can come back to cover it.

Not a fan of the CGI de-aging of the band, very creepy.

In two minds about the girls, but the boys look very off.

It's a slightly Tron vibe, but yeah.

It seems the new line-up is Digital Agnetha, Digital Frida, Digital Benny and Tom Hardy from Star Trek: Nemesis.

Why bother de-aging them but still motion capturing the OAP versions? Isn't it going to be kind of strange to see a bunch of 30-odd-year-olds shuffling around like they're eighty? Whatever, fuck this.

Either they need the money, which I doubt because I'm sure Abba royalties still pay out handsomely, or they're crossing off their bucket list.

Never considered myself a fan, although admittedly they had three or four really good songs.

I'm guessing it's a tax bill.

Sweden does tax the fuck out of you.

According to https://taxsummaries.pwc.com/sweden/individual/taxes-on-personal-income , you pay over 50% on employment income over the equivalent of £44,158.

Then again, 30% capital income tax doesn't seem all that disturbing in comparison. I guess being rich in Sweden still has its perks.
