Is this sarcastic or are you just a shut in? They had radio ads, it was on the news, motorway gantry signs had messages about it all day yesterday, and even a lot of workplaces sent outmessages about it from what I've heard.

That's not how it comes through; it pops up on your phone screen and then disappears again. I tried to unlock my phone when it started making the noise, and that made the alert disappear without trace.

I'm going to change my notification tone to the emergency alert sound.

It happened the very moment I saw a workmen's truck bash into the side of a house on a tight lane and a huge argument break out between the owner and the three guys in the vehicle, it was quite an occasion.
